Annual Tribute Celebration 2015

The Synagogue Council of Massachusetts'  Annual Tribute Celebration will take place on Monday, June 22, 2015, at 6:00 pm at Temple Beth Elohim in Wellesley. It is always a warm and convivial evening of good music (performances by SAFAM as well as other musical surprises), delicious food (buffet dinner catered by Andrew) and a celebration of Jewish unity with guests that represent a broad spectrum of leaders, supporters and friends.

Please join us as we share an exciting event that will not only honor our good friend and Executive Director, Alan Teperow on the occasion of his upcoming retirement, but also highlight the many programs of SCM.

Over the course of his 33 year tenure as Executive Director of SCM, Alan has built bridges and warm community relationships with the members of synagogues, minyanim and agencies throughout the Commonwealth. The organization’s keystone project, the annual Unity Mission to New York, and other innovative and inspiring programs, have motivated participants to delve more deeply into their own religious practices and form meaningful relationships with fellow Jews.

Alan's energy for, and investment in, Synagogue Council has been a gift to our entire community.  Now, with clarity and integrity, his only wish as he bids farewell to this valuable organization is - to truly know that Synagogue Council will continue to grow, to thrive, and to guide us.  We have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity this year not only to thank Alan for all he has given, but to fulfill his wish of continuity.  There are a number of donation levels which will allow you to be a part of Synagogue Council's present and future.

To help maintain the educational and community-wide programs at the Synagogue Council of Massachusetts, the ATID Legacy Fund, with a minimum donation of $1800, has been established in Alan's honor.

Please join us on the Tribute Committee, with a minimum donation of $360, to congratulate Alan for his unique contributions to Jewish communal life in Massachusetts. The link below offers you the opportunity to be included on our printed invitation that will be mailed in early May. For more information, contact Ellen Michelson, Program Associate. Your generous support of this event will help SCM continue its tradition of pluralistic initiatives for a new generation.

We look forward to seeing you on June 22nd at Temple Beth Elohim. Thank you for helping us honor Alan and for supporting SCM’s mission.
