"Synagogue-of-the-Month"Our Featured Member Synagogue for January 2006 is Temple Emanuel of Newton (Conservative) that is currently celebrating its 70th anniversary. Temple Emanuel is a Conservative, fully egalitarian congregation affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism (USCJ). Our membership of over 1,200 families represents a diversity of Jews from Newton and surrounding communities. With our broad spectrum of religious, cultural, social, and educational activities, there are as many reasons to join Temple Emanuel as there are Jews in our congregation (from the Temple's web site).
