"Synagogue-of-the-Month"

Our Featured Member synagogue for July and August 2009 is Temple Shalom of Milton. We are pleased to recognize the synagogue in celebration of its 65th anniversary! The anniversary celebration will take place over the weekend of November 13-15, 2009 with special Shabbat services and weekend festivities.

Temple Shalom of Milton was founded in 1944 as Jewish Bostonians expanded beyond their existing population centers in Mattapan and Roxbury. As the Jewish population of greater Boston has continued to shift over time, Temple Shalom has today become the focus of Jewish community for not just Milton, but a new generation of Jews living in Dorchester, Hyde Park, and Roslindale. Our members also come from other nearby communities such as Quincy and Canton.

Under the leadership of Rabbi Alfred Benjamin, you will find a Jewish community of warmth & welcome, concern & caring and a Judaism expressed with thoughtfulness and meaning. We welcome you to join us for worship services. For more information, call us at 617-698-3394 or visit our web site.
