"Synagogue-of-the-Month"Our Featured Member synagogue for October 2009 is Temple Emunah of Lexington. We are pleased to recognize the synagogue in celebration of its 50th anniversary. Emunah 50: A Celebration of Temple Emunah's Fiftieth Anniversary June, 2009 - June, 2010 We at Temple Emunah take pride in our welcoming, egalitarian, Conservative spirit and award-winning programs. For over 50 years we have been privileged to have outstanding leaders, members, and staff that are committed to providing for the future, strengthening the transmission of Jewish observance and values to our children. To commemorate Temple Emunah's 50th anniversary, our community will be celebrating all year with a variety of educational, cultural and social programs and events that will bring together people from the past and present. We hope that this year will help the community explore its past and envision its future as a Jewish Community and citizens of the world. Our theme is "Emunah Shel Zahav - Emunah of Gold." The weekend of October 30-November 1 we welcome back our illustrious rabbis and educators dating back to the very beginning of our congregation in 1959. Rabbis Herbert Rosenblum, Joel Meyers, and Bernard Eisenman and their wives will join together to share reminiscences, and have an open conversation with us about those times. Rabbi Josh Elkin, Joe Reimer, Carolyn Keller, and Serene Victor are the esteemed educators who will enrich the conversations with their slant on our history.
