"7th Grader Amira saw a need in our community and jumped to address it. She realized that our elders may be lonely during the lockdown and organized a brigade of other young people to be buddies with our elders. They talked once a week and are still checking in even now. In addition, during the holiday season, Amira worked to organize young people to send greetings to elders who may be missing their families around the table this Rosh Hashanah. Her initiative was laudable."
