"As Programming Vice President and Yad Chesed (Caring Committee) Co-Chair of Or Atid, Barbra has gone above and beyond during the pandemic. She has led the charge on planning and executing innovative & engaging programming including our Elul Daily Reflection email series, our outdoor & online hybrid Musical Kabbalat Shabbat services, a series of speakers on the most pressing issues, such as Billy Planer speaking about how to have uncomfortable and difficult conversations and the acclaimed Yiddish singer Anthony Mordekhai Tzvi Russell leading a series on African-American and Ashkenazi Jewish music, culture, and history so that we can think about how to combat antisemitism and racism today. Barbra has also led our efforts to check in on and support every single member of our community, organizing phone calls and Zoom meetings for people to stay connected, delivering meals for those who are ill or in mourning, and more."
