Judy Keller
Am HaYam, Cape Cod Havurah, Orleans

"Our Ritual Committee Chair, Judy Keller, first alerted her committee and our Board that we would not be having our usual in person High Holy Day services at The Federated Church.several months ago. But rather than just send our members to a streaming service of a conventional synagogue with a paid staff and resources, she was determined to bring us the familiar warmth and presence of Rabbi Deanna Douglas and Cantorial Soloist Elizabeth Anker. Judy had already become our Zoom master, enabling us to come together for services and meetings, but for our High Holy Day services, we needed to reach a much wider audience. And everyone would have to be recorded from their own homes,. For help she reached out to a member, Marilyn Schlansky, whose son-in-law is a media specialist. He put Judy in contact with, Solace Media, a Tech firm that has the knowledge we needed. Marilyn's granddaughters created the Power Point from the Mishkan Hanefesh that was used during services, With the help of our Tech consultant every participant was prerecorded at their home. Sunny Paradeshi, the consultant, then spliced all the pieces together. Judy edited and watched all 5 services at least 3 times before they went live on our web site, ahycc, org. Visitors were taken from there to YouTube where these services will live forever. For our little all volunteer Havurah on Cape Cod, Judy mastered the challenge of how to keep us together while we must remain apart, We are eternally grateful for her efforts."
