"Fortuitously for our synagogue during this pandemic, Mark Frydenberg, our president, is a professor of Computer science. He immediately organized the process of continuing our services on Zoom drawing on the members who are computer literate to assist as technical hosts for Board meetings, 3 weekly services, and finally orchestrating several 3-hour services for High Holidays, complete with intregrated pre-recorded ""performances"" (prayers, Haf-torah chanting for Kol Nidre, sermons, etc.) spliced into the whole service.
Simultaneously, he is a dutiful son caring for his Mother out of state after recently losing his Dad (a Holocaust survivor), plus teaching at Bentley. Plus more. What a mensch!"
